We did not smell cigarette smoke in it at all, though the odor was strong in the hall. Well, as the song goes, "two out of three ain't bad". This time, after reading reviews here, I made a point of asking for one of the renovated rooms, non smoking, and quiet. I have family in the area and so Downtown is a good place to stay because there is plenty of public transportation and Uber so I did not need to rent a car to get to my family member's apartment. Awesome stay.Ġ.23km from downtown The first time I booked this hotel my reservation went smoothly I was even upgraded to a better unit for two days I needed to add an extra day with the same room 1915 called downstairs numerous times no answer I went downstairs this was between 3 am to 6 am went to front desk As soon as Mercedes saw me she picked up the phone acting like she was very busy with long lines of peoples waiting to checked it nobody was there I told her that I want to extend one more day she said no I need to book another room I went to booked another room and got the confirmation waited a few went back downstairs showed her the confirmation she said she did not receive the confirmation yet chatted with back and forth I was so tired I wanted to cancel the whole thing I was told that there was no refund I asked Mercedes to give me a room I wanted to be over so I can sleep from 1915 she gave me room 627 the room was a dump phone not hooked room a little hot no refrigerator she wanted to break my spirits but little that she knows I’m relentless the next day went and told the manager she apologized and says that she will transfer me to 1915 with no charge lord I was very upset but kept my cool wheeled my belongings back to 1915 and what I want it was so simple my card was charged 3 times and I did not see it necessary everything still pending on my navy federal card (because Mercedes did not want to give me the same room she is unfit for customer service talk about diversity and inclusion she missed the memo I will never come to this hotel I’m not sone yet I will email to the CEO of this hotel I was not confrontational she is Hispanic I’m African American very polite and will go above and beyond for anybody please relieve her to her duty she is unfit? Condescending I guess that front desk job went to her headĠ.23km from downtown This was not my first stay at the Fremont. Staff: Extremely cool, chill, and competent, unlike the strip hotels we stayed at that were clearly overwhelmed.
Parking: Free parking directly across the street from hotel.
We paid the minimal upgrade fee for the suite, and it was 100% worth it. Rooms: Best rooms we stayed in on our two week trip. Value: Ridiculous value for money versus any other Vegas hotel. Circa was the best hotel ****** we went in on our trip, and we also walked up and down every single ****** (minus a few like Circus Circus) on the strip. We missed the gym and the free welcome champagne at Circa's rooftop lounge, but i bet it was awesome.
Amenities: Doesn't have much amenities, actually, but is related to the Circa and D hotel and has access to a gym of sorts. Also, as a long time Vegas visitor, I think Freemont is cooler than the Strip and I'm not sure I'll ever go to the Strip again.
Walk directly out of the hotel ****** onto the best part of the light show experience and a live band at night. Location: Awesome spot on Freemont Street. Things I love about this hotel: - History: I think it's the oldest continuously operating hotel/****** in Vegas, and it has really cool historical artifacts throughout. I don't think I will ever stay anywhere else now.
I lived in SoCal for 5 years or so in the Marines, spent a lot of time in Vegas, but never stayed here before. My girlfriend and I just made a 2 week tour of SoCal and Vegas. 0.15km from downtown I only leave reviews if something is really good, or really bad.
